Bernard Chandran AW12 catwalk collection at London Fashion Week

For AW12, instead of his detachable peplums he has been creating for the past two seasons he concentrates on detachable collars.
These high collars substituted the wearing of a necklace, some heavily embellished, others brightly coloured but most of intricate multi folds akin to Japanese origami.

Fluid fabrics of silk satin, wet look leather and gleaming metallic prints all gave the illusion of flowing water.

Tailoring was given a sharper edge with the use of clear plastic over opened shoulder seams.

Evening wear was grown up glamour and included lace dresses and embellished transparent chiffon

Chandran's detachable collars replace necklaces for the evening..
