Jamie Wei: Huang SS16 at London Fashion Week

Titled Nibbana meaning the concept of afterlife.

This journey is unravelled through intricate details, metal trimmings, geometric cutting and a delicate combination of materials.

The collection is an amalgamation of how different countries, languages, religions and cultures picture their afterlife whether it be heaven and hell, or bliss and suffering.

Thoughts of heaven are illustrated with lighter woven white fabrics in floaty silhouettes

Harsh reds and cobalt blues symbolise the seven circles of hell.

Jacquard prints are used in two colourways to enhance the story with bold devil images manipulated on strong biker jackets, statement bracelets and straight leg trousers.

Strong elongated silhouettes constructed in a feminine way with a careful juxtaposition of fabrics to cater to the modern woman.
